HCLFC: proud HullBID finalists

We’re not usually ones to brag, but we’re finding it hard to keep this one to ourselves!

We at Hull City Ladies FC are incredibly proud to say that we were nominated for the Hull Business Improvement District awards 2019. To show our pride in this fact we will be placing this badge of recognition on our website for all to see.

The HullBID award ceremony is a much-respected annual event celebrating businesses who contribute to the local cause and community. Organised by Kathryn Shillito they aim to reward those who have the ambition and provide the means to make Hull a better place.

Club representatives attended the celebratory event at Hull Minster on 22nd February in a glitzy affair with lots of big names and important people. The black tie event featured a performance from stars of the X-Factor Tre Amici who opened the event in style with a live performance. This was followed by a lavish meal and the awards ceremony itself.

It was no mean feat to make it to the finals, there were over 400 entries for this year’s HullBID awards and Hull City Ladies FC finished runners up in the Contribution to the Community category. We are proud of our work and collaborations within the community, with our collaborations with local businesses and key partners.
We would like to thank everyone involved; Executive Director Kathryn Shillito, the judges, organisers of the awards and of course we couldn’t have done it without our fellow partners in our community.

We are very proud of this award and aim to tell as many people as we can about it!

There is always a lot more to do within the community, so we hope to continue such work and collaborations in the future and hope to inspire others to do the same. it is an incredible honour to be nominated and we applaud all winners and nominees for their great work, making Hull a better place.
