NHS & Key Workers Thank You
The frontline staff, who are working tirelessly across the country in the fight against COVID-19, we want to say thank you. All our season awards are going to the NHS and all key workers, our small act of appreciation to say thank you for their incredible efforts during this challenging time.
After much discussion between the players and coaching staff, we have made the big decision not to hold a regular End Of Season awards. With the traditional season, ending after only a handful of games played, all of us at Hull City Ladies don’t feel it’s right to award ourselves for a job half-finished.
That is why we have decided as a club to dedicate our awards to the fantastic staff and key workers who are helping us through this troubled time. The club wants to give a particular focus to those in the Hull and East Yorkshire NHS trust, who many of us have ties with.
Our player of the year, players’ player of the year, managers player of the year, top goalscorer, club person (s) of the year and outstanding achievement are all awarded to the NHS and all key workers.
We have come to expect that NHS staff will go above and beyond to do the right things by their patients, but that doesn’t make us any less proud and the NHS staff who are working endlessly during the coronavirus pandemic in these uncertain times we are immensely appreciative. Words cannot express how grateful we are for all NHS staff, emergency services and key workers for all their hard work & dedication.
Over the next coming weeks, we will be announcing a series of giveaways and recognition awards that we will be giving out once the pandemic has passed. More will be announced in due course and once we know when our season is up and running, we will honour our appreciation.
Hull City Ladies urges everyone in these times of crisis to stick together, help each other and together, we will win this fight. Follow government guidance to stay home, protect the NHS and save lives.
