In March we ran a competition for children to design our home shirt for the 2020/21 season, we asked children to be creative as they liked and we received over 80 fantastic shirt designs.

We thank everyone who took part in our competition and whoever shared our posts on social media. It was incredible to see everyone’s creative, bright and colourful designs and it was a very hard choice to whittle it down to just four designs.

We chose one design from each age category (5 –7 years, 8 – 11 years and 12 – 16 years and one wildcard design. Hope & Glory have worked up the finalists’ design to a full design visual. Voting will start on Monday 18th May and voting will be open via Twitter (HullCityLFC) for 7 days.

The winner will have their shirt made & worn for the 2020/21 season. The winner will also receive a special delivery from Hull City Ladies, which will include a free replica shirt for themselves, mascot opportunities for them and their friends to attend a game as special guests. Plus, the winner will receive their story told and presented on our website and social media for 2020/21.

Ric Dennis from Hope & Glory said: “Having spoken with Danny late last year we had decided to run a competition to get local school children involved in designing the new home shirt for HCLFC, this was due to run just before the UK went into lock down.

The team then decided to open the competition to children all over. We had some amazing entries and it was tough to pick out the finalists – each of the final 4 designs would make a worthy winner.”

Our four finalists are Cassie aged 5, Layla aged 10, Ellen aged 12 and George aged 14.
