Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we have been working hard to assure that Hull City Ladies emerges in a strong position for the future.

Football clubs and many other businesses operating in the sport, leisure, entertainment, travel, hospitality have been impacted directly by COVID-19.

Hull City Ladies FC is an independent football club, not affiliated with the men’s team. This has proven at times to be challenging as we rely heavily on our supporters, and sponsors which we are very grateful for, without this support we would cease to operate.

However recently during testing times being independent has proven to be a strength, we have seen many women’s teams who are attached to the men’s clubs have their support and funding removed sadly due to the hard impact that COVID 19 has had on football as a whole. We are thankful for the ongoing support that we have from our sponsors, key partners and fans.

There has been an update from the FA & DCMS about the phased return of spectators to football:

The FA Women’s National League said: “Stage one: From 22 August 2020 to 30 August 2020, spectators are permitted to attend fixtures at steps three to six of the NLS and tiers three to four of the WFP, providing that their number does not exceed 15 per cent of the minimum ground grading capacity at these levels or respective figures set out within our updated guidelines.

Stage two: From 31 August 2020, clubs at steps three to six of the NLS and tiers three to four of the WFP will be permitted to allow spectators to attend fixtures provided that their number does not exceed 30 per cent of the minimum ground grading capacity at their level or the respective figures set out within our updated guidelines.

Stage One we can have 180 spectators at Haworth Park and in stage two we can have 360 spectators. Read more on how the news affects Hull City Ladies and how the COVID-19 measures we have in place, here.

At Haworth Park we offer a fantastic, safe facility to watch football, we have bar facilities with great offers for all which are, most importantly, affordable. Above all we want to promote that we are a family friendly, inclusive club, we extend a very warm welcome to all and pride ourselves on being a team Hull can be proud of. The FA continues to work closely with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and Sport England and we will be working closely with the FA as the weeks/months progress.

The pandemic represents one of the most challenging periods in everyone’s lives, we remain positive and look forward to the future and the upcoming season.

Once again, we are much appreciated with everyone’s support. We are thankful for our loyal fans, key partners and sponsors and anyone who wishes to be part of the Tigress family. We will always welcome any new support and hope to grow further with new partnerships, sponsors, and fans across the city.

We all hope there will be no “second wave” but we also need to accept that it is one of the many uncertainties ahead of us, however, we will always plan accordingly.

Our aim is to continue our good work in the community, creating content, working with sponsors and to compete well in the Women’s National League. The Women’s National League kicks stars on Sunday 20th September. Read more about that here /

Keep your eyes peeled for fixture announcements, (which are due to be released by Sunday 23rd August 2020 so keep checking our social media account), our five year plan and how we are furthering our commitment to the NHS.
