After a great 4-2 win in their last meeting for the Tigresses at the Easy Buy Stadium with goals coming from Hope Knight and Rachael Ackroyd with two each, for Hull City Ladies first win of the season.

The Tigresses went 1-0 behind to York City, keeping the momentum to turn the game around and to score 4 goals whilst being unlucky not to make the gap bigger.

In his post match interview Chris Hames stated ‘ relief and glad to get the win’ after an unfortunate start to the season with two losses to kick off the season. The tigresses showed a great example of mentality after unfortunate circumstances to keep morale high and deliver as they have continued to do all season.

One to watch

Some excellent performances last weekend against Merseyrail from Hull City Ladies. Playing out of her preferred position at right back, Ruby Dawson was awarded player of the match for a brilliant display of defensive and attacking threat. Many crucial interceptions and tackles from right back allowed the tigresses to keep a clean sheet, on top of that Ruby’s attacking threat creating many chances on the right hand side allowed her team to score three in a comfortable victory.
