Hull City Ladies suffer 9-0 defeat on the opening day.
Hull City Ladies started the campaign away to Northern Premier runners up Burnley away from home.
The home side secured an emphatic 9-0 victory in a dominant and ruthless display which say seven different scorers.
A debutant for Cath Hamill and a second debut for Darcie Sugden-Brook for Chris Hames’ side. It was a lightening 20 minute for Burnley with the Tigresses conceded four goals.
HCLFC started the game brightly with Helen Lynskey going close.
Naomi Hartley’s header opened the scoring 14 minutes on before Claudia Walker doubled the lead two minutes later with a simple finish.
Charley Docherty, Burnley’s POTM made it three with just four minutes later, the best goal of the afternoon came through a fantastic curling goal from Grace Palmer.
A dizzy run from Emma Siddall saw the ball bundle in off Cath Hamill as Burnley went into the half-time break 5-0 up.
Burnley started the second half as they left off, with Palmer getting her second of the afternoon.
Brenna McPartlan made no mistake from the spot dispatching her penalty into the bottom left converted before Hazard found the bottom right corner for her first Clarets goal 20 minutes from time.
Burnley piled more misery on the Tigresses with Laura Elford scoring with another nice effort which looped over Abi Wallace.
