Pitter the Tiger

Hull City Ladies are delighted to confirm the signing of exciting young full back Ruby Pitter from Doncaster Rovers Belles

Hull born and raised, Ruby was a member of the York City Regional Talent Centre before moving to the Donny Belles pathway. The 18 year old went on to make 31 appearances for the Belles across the last two seasons – playing along side current Tigresses Izzy Gigg and Jess Andrew

Left footed, mobile and highly energetic, Ruby can play anywhere down the left side of the pitch, having joined the club predominantly in the role of full back

On bringing in Ruby, manager Chris Hames said:

As a football club we are on a journey to secure talent, to grow and develop what we are capable of doing on the football pitch for the now and the future. To be able to do that by bringing in talented young players, who are from our city is the icing on the cake. We are excited to get her in to what we are doing, to get her up to speed and watch her flourish in our environment

It’s been a quick turn around, but one that is testament to her maturity and professionalism. A new environment, with new people and unfamiliar ways of doing things, Ruby has fitted in seamlessly so far and something that we are very much looking forward to building on. I am delighted to welcome her to the club

Ruby had this to say on her signing

“I’m delighted to be signing for the Tigresses! I would like to thank everyone at Hull for giving me this opportunity and I can’t wait to get started. Everyone has made me feel more welcome than I ever could have imagined so I’m sure it won’t take me long to settle right into such a great group!

My ambitions making this move are to develop and adapt my own game to contribute to the success of the club, working hard to grow as a player along the way, hoping to make immediate impacts for the team.

I want to bring to the team, energy, desire, and consistency, learning through quality players and coaches to do my job for the team. I’m most looking forward to getting straight out there on the pitch alongside the team and fans, contributing as much as I can with every opportunity I get. With the opportunity to perform wearing the shirt of my home town club, this chapter is extra special.

I can’t wait to get started!”

Ruby is available for selection for the upcoming game away at Sporting Khalsa
