Hull City Ladies are excited to announce the signing of Maltese international defender Alexandra Gatt ahead of the 2025/26 season
Alex joins the Tigresses from York City, where she had spent the latter part of the 2024/25 season, having previously been at WSL2 side Durham, as well as spells at FAWNL sides Durham Cestria and London Seaward
A tenacious and high energy player, who can play across the back line as well as in the midfield. With 49 appearances across the last few seasons in English football, Alex has a growing experience and is ready to make the next step at Tier 3 with the Tigresses

When I trained the first time with the team , I knew it was the right fit immediately. The staff and the girls set a really thriving environment where they all work hard for each other and I knew I wanted to add to that.
My goal for the season is to add my energy and drive to this team and to help the team get as high up the table as possible.
Im looking forward to the challenge of Tier 3. I look forward to working with this great group of staff and players, and going into everyday with a smile on my face.
